Aim Higher Omega Programme 2010/11

Are you a disabled lerner aged 13-19?  If so then The Nottingham Aim Higher partnership which includes the University of Nottingham invites you to join a programme of events supporting young people with disabilities to learn more about progressing on to college or university

What is Omega?

Omega is a series of interactive events, with guest speakers, designed to build your confidence and develop your passion. You will have the opportunity to find out about college and university life and why it may be perfect for you, giving you information on university applications and the support available.

Where and when are the events taking place?

• Tuesday 19 October 2010, 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Visual and Hearing Impairments. Nottingham Trent University, The Djanogly International Centre, Clarendon Street, Nottingham NG1 5DJ

•          Tuesday 15 February 2011, 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Disability Support in Further and Higher Education. West Notts College, Derby Road, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG8 5BH

•          Wednesday 6 April 2011, 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Neuro-diversity including dyslexia/dyspraxia and autism, New College Nottingham, High Pavement Sixth Form College, Chaucer Street, Nottingham NG1 5BH

•          Wednesday 20 July 2011, 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Mental Health Difficulties. The University of Nottingham, Room A32, Clearing Building, Jubilee Campus

All events are  free to attend and you are welcome to bring along members of your family.
